Welcome to the Albany Lions Club Inc located in Western Australia
In Albany we work to improve our community Through Lions Projects and sometimes just helping out where it is needed such as bushfire and disasters. We have a few, interesting projects on the go right now. In keeping with the club ethics they are humanitarian, community spirited, fun and manageable.
We would love for you to join us. If you have a little spare time, have an interest in helping your community, and philanthropy, we'd love to hear from you. Our members are dedicated to making our community a better place to live, work and grow.
Both of the vehicles shown in the photo above have been around Australia as support vehicles for Hope in a Boat (a motorcycle towing a boat around Australia). Each one completing 25,000km raising funds for diabetes research.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday at 6.00pm every month.
All are welcome! The public are welcome to attend as a guest of a Lion. Guests often attend to either speak about what they are doing in the community or to learn a little more about who Lions are and what they do.
The current Web Master is Lion Glen 0418936948 who would be happy to take your call if you would like to come along.
Some of the many things Lions do is to provide Mobile Skin Cancer and Breast Cancer screening as well as Hearing and Sight testing..
From the President of Albany Lions
Lions club members are people who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care which is where Lions started more than a hundred years ago, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide. Lions are involved in almost every aspect of health and medical research. In Albany we have many on going projects as well as some very exciting projects coming up in the future. There has never been a better time to join Lions so what are you waiting for ? .......... An invitation from the president?
